Women's Business Education and Loan Program Graduation 2010

Graduates of the Women’s Business Education and Loan Program Are Ready to Start Or Continue Their Journey as Entrepreneurs

 

 

Watsonville, CA - June 23, 2010 – El Pajaro Community Development Corporation celebrated the accomplishments of 40 graduates after their completion of the Women’s Business Education and Loan Program.

 

The celebration was held at the San Pablo de Colores church on San Juan Road on May 26, 2010. Over 100 people attended this event to accompany the recent graduates in their efforts to start or improve their business. These women have gained the proper skills to launch or expand their businesses. The program consisted of women who reside in the Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.

 

The Women’s Business Education and Loan Program is a 13-week educational program. It provides extensive resources for low-income women in starting their own business or improving their existing business. This program also assists women in their endeavors by providing one-on-one technical assistance and support. These motivated and determined graduates are given help in the preparation of loan applications, are eligible to apply for low-interest micro-loans and have the mentorship of successful entrepreneurs.
