I’ve been working here at Plaza Vigil for fifteen months, but I have owned this business myself for only two weeks. Before this, I worked here with my sister-in-law and we owned this business together, but the partnership didn’t work out. Now I feel a lot more freedom with the business and more confident in being able to move forward. I’m pleased with the location. I have the resources that El Pájaro CDC offers, like classes and support. I also like the community of businesses we have here. I’m still learning a lot but I have ideas of making the business bigger. I like to help the people that come into my store. I want them to get relief from their pains. I don’t give out cures, but with what I know and the help of God I hope that they can feel better. If I’m not sure of what the customer needs, I don’t give them anything, and I recommend them to see a doctor at the clinic. In order to succeed, one can’t only have intelligence; rather, it’s a mix of the heart and the intellect. So I feel very good here, I still have a lot to learn, but I have support and the help of God as guides. |
