El Pájaro Community Development Corporation works collaboratively with several key community partners. By working together to promote equitable social and economic development, all of the partners are able to be more effective than would be possible working alone. Thanks to the CDC’s great partners!

City of Watsonville
The City is the oldest supporter of the Plaza Vigil Business Incubator Program and is a partner with the CDC in the Net Café Youth Entrepreneurship Training Project. Two City staff members serve on the CDC’s Board of Directors.

County of Santa Cruz Human Resources Agency
HRA and the CDC are partners in the following programs: Microenterprise Assistance Program, ChildCare Ventures Program, Net Café Youth Entrepreneurship Training Project, and the Financial Literacy Training Program.

Santa Cruz Community Credit Union / Community Ventures, Inc.
SCCCU and the CDC are partners in the ChildCare Ventures and Financial Literacy Training Programs. The executive director of the credit union’s nonprofit affiliate, Community Ventures, Inc., also serves on the CDC’s Board of Directors.

Santa Cruz County Office of Education
The SCC Office of Education and El Pájaro CDC are partners in two youth entrepreneurship projects: the Net Café and the Impressions of Pájaro Valley retail store housed in Plaza Vigil.

Cabrillo College
Cabrillo College and the CDC are partners in the Financial Literacy Program. Two members of the Cabrillo staff serve on the CDC’s Board of Directors.

Central Coast SBDC - Small Business Developement CenterSmall Business Development Center
The SBDC and the CDC are partners in the provision of technical assistance to Plaza Vigil Business Incubator merchants and in the ChildCare Ventures Program. The two organizations frequently cosponsor events and workshops and refer clients to one another. The executive director of the SBDC serves on the CDC’s Board of Directors. http://www.businessonline.org
